Bellerby set for Rallycross Grand Prix return
Multiple rallycross champion Dave Bellerby will compete in the Procters Coaches MSA British Rallycross Grand Prix at Croft Circuit on Sunday (October 22), racing the Ford Fiesta Supercar he campaigned in the MSA British Rallycross Championship last season.
Bellerby has taken a back step in 2017 to manage his Bellerby Motorsport team, running cars for daughters Paige and Drew in the MSA Supernational Rallycross Championship and BMW Mini Rallycross Championship respectively, but will return to the driving seat himself for the Grand Prix season finale, at his home circuit. "It’s time we brought the British Rallycross Grand Prix title back up north. With me, (Kevin) Procter and (Tony) Bardy all at the front, I’m just racing to change those odds and to have some fun,” said the former Supernational and Swift Sport Rallycross Champion.
Paige Bellerby is locked in battle with points leader Tristan Ovenden for the Supernational category title, racing her Lotus Exige, while Drew Bellerby is currently second the BMW Mini points leader Martin Hawkes heading into the final round on Saturday. Both drivers will join father Dave by racing in the Grand Prix on Sunday.
