British Rallycross set to stream Lydden “Live”
The organisers of the 2014 MSA British Rallycross Championship have today announced that the first round to take place at Lydden Hill next weekend will be streamed “Live” via the British Rallycross website. This is in conjunction with the previously announced coverage on British Eurosport HD and Premier Sports that will feature after the event.
In a move designed to ensure the best coverage of British Rallycross this year, it is hoped each event will be available to view live on the Internet in due course. Those wishing to avail of the new feature can sign up to watch the opening round at Lydden Hill next weekend.
Speaking on behalf of British Rallycross Chairman Steve Hill said “We have worked hard to put together a Television package for everyone this year, but the ability to be able to stream Lydden live was an important aspect in the decisions we made. Our deal with AMGTV allows us to do that, and bring the sport to more people for this year and so we hope to be able to cover more events if it proves popular.”
Viewers will be able to watch the Lydden event live, once they have registered to the Livestream service by using the link below.

The Livestream schedule for the opening round at Lydden Hill will be announced in due course, but for all fans of British Rallycross this is a huge step in providing another form of coverage that will allow fans to access footage live on PC’s, iPhones and keep up to date with the latest action from the British Rallycross Championship.
For competitor Stuart Emery, who was runner up in the 2013 SuperNational class in his Peugeot 206 it is another positive step in the coverage of the sport for this year and he said “Its great news that we can now show events live starting with Lydden Hill, streamed on the Internet. It now means that we can take British Rallycross worldwide and that has to be a real positive step for the sport. I just hope the drivers support it and get their friends and family watching so it is a feature at more events. Where my wife is not able to make it to all the rounds it is great to know she can watch and still be part of the day and cheer me on from home...or take the mickey if I get it wrong.”
Established in 1994, AMG Television Productions started out as a video production company filming small club rallies on a local basis, but for Andy Glossop from AMGTV the move into British Rallycross makes sense, and he said “The increase in the popularity of Rallycross now is huge, and we are delighted to be able to bring this aspect to fans, competitors and the circuits for this season. AMGTV are really looking forward to this year working with a major championship such as the British Rallycross.”
