Night of Champions set to celebrate 50 years of rallycross
The car that won the first ever rallycross event, a Porsche 911 driven by Vic Elford at Lydden Hill, will be one of the stars of the show at the MSA British Rallycross Championship’s Night of Champions in February.
Held on the exact date of the 50th anniversary of rallycross, February 4, the Night of Champions will be a night of celebration of the 2016 British RX title winners, but also a look back into the rich history of the sport, with some fantastic names on the bill, including the iconic Porsche 911.
The evening will also feature an appearance from one of the key people involved in creating the sport, television producer Robert Reed.
2016 MSA British Rallycross Champion Dan Rooke, the youngest ever winner of the crown will receive the biggest prize in British RX at the evening event at the Coventry Hilton Hotel.
Keep an eye on the British RX social media channels for further information as the event draws nearer.
