Now's your chance to design the livery of a 5 Nations BRX Supercar
- Design Mike Sellar’s 600bhp Citroen DS3 Supercar
- Get the chance to see 'your' car on 5 Nations Grid
Ever fancied seeing ‘your’ car lining up on a rallycross Supercar grid? Mike Sellar announced his return to rallycross after a break of 15 years and has kindly agreed to offer up his BRX Citroen DS3 for a design competition ahead of the first round of the Motorsport UK British Rallycross Championship 5 Nations Trophy presented by Cooper Tires.
Although the 5 Nations Trophy is, like the rest of motorsport, currently on hold Mike has used the downtime to fully restore the car to its former glory following its last outing in Sweden. Having collected the ex-Hansen Motorsport DS3 from Sweden in early March, the car was then sent to six-time British Rallycross Champion Julian Godfrey’s Race Tuners outfit, before returning to Kent for body repairs.
Now with brand new body panels fitted to the 600bhp Supercar, it’s ready for a striking design worthy of competing in the UK’s new 5 Nations Trophy when the championship finally gets underway.
“I’m really happy to offer fans the chance to design my rallycross car, said Mike. “Of course, we’re not sure when we’ll be back racing due to the current situation, but we have to remain confident that things will soon be under control and we’ll be able to start racing.
“While of course the priority for everyone remains to avoid unnecessary contact, this lockdown has allowed us to spend more time on the car. We would have been ready for the opening round at Lydden Hill over Easter, however this break has given us more time to prepare it to an even higher standard. Now we just need to get a nice design ready for when we get out there.
“The design needs to take into consideration the white and silver panels and placement of my main sponsor Spies Hecker, MAS Motorsport and of course the need for Cooper Tire windscreen strip and logo on each corner."
Entries are invited via the 5 Nations BRX social media channels.
