Langley set for RX150 title challenge in 2017
Kirk Langley will return to the RX150 Rallycross Championship in 2017, for a full season in the MSA British Rallycross Championship in association with ODYSSEY Battery support category.
The Liverpool based driver made his rallycross debut at Lydden hill last season, and won the final RX150 event of the year, supporting the MSA British Rallycross Grand Prix at Croft Circuit in October.
“I’m delighted that I will be competing in the full RX150 Championship this year. Coming off the back of a great weekend at Croft in October and winning the Grand Prix support class, we have been working hard to prepare for the new season,” said Langley, who is planning to use the single-make RX150 series to develop for a future career in international rallycross. “I’m confident that we can try and challenge for the top step of the podium as well as continuing to learn more about rallycross car setup and the sport itself. We also plan to compete in some selected rallycross rounds in the UK and Europe; 2017 looks like it will be a really exciting year and I already can’t wait to get started.”
Langley’s RX150 is currently on display at the Autosport International Show in Birmingham, where rallycross has a presence in the show and in the Live Action Arena, celebrating the 50###sup/sup### anniversary of rallycross.
