Lydden Hill to host 5 Nations BRX pre-season media and test day
The Lydden Hill circuit in Kent will host a pre-season media and test day on April 14, just two days before the 2022 Motorsport UK British Rallycross Championship 5 Nations Trophy gets underway at the same venue.
The event will be split into two sections, with the opening part of the schedule reserved for media activity, as 5 Nations BRX organisers continue to work on building the output and reach of the series, before the afternoon is dedicated to a six-hour, open-pitlane style test day, utilising the iconic Lydden Hill rallycross circuit, offering competitors a cost-effective way of running on the mixed-surface track.
All rallycross-eligible cars are welcome to enter for an unlimited number of laps, as are all drivers with a rallycross-eligible competition license.
Hannah Rynston, 5 Nations BRX Championship Co-ordinator:
“Outside of race weekends it’s not easy for drivers to get seat time on rallycross circuits in the UK, so it’s brilliant that we’re able to hold the pre-season test at Lydden Hill, along with our annual media day for 5 Nations BRX. We’re inviting anyone with a rallycross car to come along and take part, which is a great use of the circuit, following the work our media team will do in the morning to create content and continue sending out the message of what we’re about. This will be the first rallycross action of the year at Lydden and we can’t wait to get the 2022 season underway.”
