The British Rallycross Championship is pleased to announce an exciting calendar of events for 2016 that consists of eight rounds over seven events.
Lydden Hill, 7th November - Calling all rallycross teams and fans; how would you like to beat the winter blues, race into the new-year in style, and raise money for charity? Then head down to Lydden Hill Race Circuit for the Rallycross Charity Challenge on Saturday 2nd January 2016.
London-based Irishman Ollie O’Donovan secured eighth overall in his maiden attempt at the FIA European Rallycross Championship, despite a dramatic time at the season finale in Italy, at the Franciacorta circuit near Milan.
Wigan racer Tony Lynch achieved his aim of securing a top six finish in the end of season standings as the curtain came down on his 2015 MSA British Rallycross Championship in association with the Shannon Group campaign at Croft.
Jenson Button is synonymous with the sport of Formula 1 and with the name McLaren over the last number of years. He recently tried his hand at the sport of Rallycross, the sport that got him into Motorsport.
London-based Irishman Ollie O’Donovan finished on the podium at the Procters Coaches MSA British Rallycross Grand Prix at Croft Circuit, driving the Team RX Racing Ford Focus Supercar, despite racing through the entire Grand Prix final with damaged rear suspension.
Tristan Ovenden took the 2015 Swiftsport championship title at Croft circuit last weekend, the Kent man, retaining his title as part of the 2015 MSA British Rallycross Championship in association with the Shannon Group. Aidan Hills and Jake Taylor had a mixed weekend.
For British Rallycross competitors and spectators, to attend an event and not see any of the Bellerby Family would be unheard of. With Dad Dave, daughters Drew and Paige they have in 2015 provided entertainment in three different classes of the series. It is wonderful to see, and at Croft last weekend it was a mixed event for the Yorkshire based trio.
