Albatec Racing has confirmed it’s first WorldRX appearance of the season, at Britain’s round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy at Lydden Hill, Kent.

The third round of this year’s MSA British Rallycross Championship in association with the Shannon Group heads to South Wales and the competitor friendly Pembrey circuit this weekend.
Wales’ premier motor sport venue Pembrey is next up on the schedule for the 2015 MSA British Rallycross Championship in association with the Shannon Group on Sunday, 10 May – with the promise of lap-after-lap of high-octane, wheel-to-wheel action.
The MSA British Rallycross Championship in association with the Shannon Group heads for Pembrey and Round Three next weekend and the entry list has been announced today.
Pembrey next weekend will mark the long-awaited race appearance of the Albatec team’s British EuroRX runner James Grint. The Hertford-based driver will pilot the two-litre, 16v Supercar raced by Mark Flaherty at Lydden Hill after Team Principal Andy and Mark were unable to reach an agreement to continue the BRX season. While Flaherty seeks an alternative seat in which to complete the year, Albatec will use the Welsh round as additional track time for the former RX150 race winner ahead of his FIA European Rallycross Championship debut.
Rallycross is on a high just now; of that there is no doubt. Whether it is the FIA World Rallycross or the domestic British Championship, the sport itself, and the public awareness of it, is increasing hugely.
Youth plays a major part in that aspect, both for the long-term success and its survival. Jake Taylor who along with the likes of Drew Bellerby, Jennie Hawkes, Bradley Durdin and more recently Charlie Bean are now showing that the sport transcends age.
