Sellar switches to Volkswagen Polo Supercar for 5 Nations BRX effort
Kent driver Mike Sellar has switched to a Volkswagen Polo Supercar for the Motorsport UK British Rallycross Championship 5 Nations Trophy in 2024.
The experienced circuit racer and rallycross driver returned to rallycross for the 2020 season after a period away, with a Hansen Motorsport-built Citroen DS3 to make his step up to the headline Supercar division. Having now sold the Citroen to RX150 Rallycross graduate Nick Priddy, Sellar has acquired an ex-Kristofferson Motorsport Volkswagen Polo.
Sellar’s Polo was most recently raced by Czech Republic driver Ales Fucik in the Czech, FIA Central European Zone and FIA European Rallycross Championships.
Sellar will test his new car this week in the UK this week ahead of his debut at Lydden Hill this weekend. The full entry list for the opening weekend of the 10-round campaign will be revealed on Tuesday, March 26.
