Suzuki's are a Swift Entry into Rallycross
Swift Sport
The Swift Sport Rallycross Championship runs alongside the MSA British Rallycross Championship and is pitched between the traditional DIY entry-level classes and the British championship categories, offering a stepping stone for club level racers, graduating Juniors or an easy option for newcomers. Based on the three-door Suzuki Swift Sport, cars in this series use a 140bhp, 1600cc/16v engine that has tightly controlled regulations so that the cars are equal and it is driver ability that shows through.
An off-the-shelf, ready to race cars start from £14,500, but you can also buy a £5250 kit of parts and convert a donor car yourself. For those who don't want anything to do with the car, there are also arrive and drive options, just pay to race the car and leave the spanner work to someone else.
The cars are monitored closely with the ECU's being changed throughout the season. There is also a car & driver minimum weight as well as all fuel being provided by Peter Gwynne Motorsport to ensure all cars are running to the same level.
