The Shannon Group named as British Rallycross title sponsor for 2014
It has been confirmed and announced today that The Shannon Group will partner this years MSA British Rallycross Championship and become title sponsor for the six round series.
The Shannon Group, based in Iver, Buckinghamshire have extensive interests in Construction, Haulage, Training and Security. The company’s distinctive Shannon “S” is already a familiar sight in Rallycross, and is currently seen on several RX150’s competing in the British Championship in a category run by the Shannon Group’s Managing Director Ollie O’Donovan.
O’Donovan himself is no stranger to competition, and is himself a former British Rallycross Champion having won the title in the ex Will Gollop Peugeot 306 T16 Supercar, as well as being a former Irish Tarmac Rally Champion.

With a new committee in place, and running the Championship for this year, the agreement was exactly what the sport needed, and with new Television coverage in place, along with live streaming of the first round at Lydden this weekend, Chairman of British Rallycross Steve Hill was delighted with the news and said “It is great news for the Championship and British Rallycross this year. Ollie has been involved in the sport for a few years now, and this experience as well as the partnership of his company The Shannon Group will be invaluable as we aim to push the sport onwards this year, and bring it to more people.”
